You know the situation when a guest arrives at 4 p.m., and then calls from the restaurant at 7 p.m. that he hasn't received dinner yet and will be late... But you wait and wait, and you don't want to get angry yet, because you're afraid that the first contact will be bad and the rating is suitable for that...
So you are left with two bad options - to wait a little longer or to leave the key under the rug. With the second one, you don't even manage to register the guest on e-Turizem, which brings you another complication.
Regardless of whether you are renting out a house, room or apartment, the challenge is the same. Regardless of whether you rent through Airbnb or through Booking.

How to get the guest into the accommodation, without losing your temper by waiting and for the guest to enter without unnecessary waiting?
This is where human ingenuity comes into play. The already mentioned mats, flower beds, windowsills, the first beam on the right side from the shed on the left... And a little more advanced metal "box" with a PIN, which you change about every 2 years.

And you start replaying usage scenarios and how you will optimize your and your guest's wait. As the matter is easy at the first ball (or gate), with the large number of solutions and providers, more and more questions arise:
- Which solutions are suitable for the existing situation in terms of (although all providers dream of a consultation when the room / apartment / facility is in conceptual design):

- protection against weather influences,
- the existence of electrical wiring near the door? - How will the door be unlocked (PIN, RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, fingerprint,...)?
- Who will manage access?
- How will we pass them on to guests, users?
- Is it possible to connect access management to the reservation system?
- What if the system fails; what is the backup option?
- Who will do the installation?
- Is there a help desk and its opening hours?
- Warranty period?
- Is the solution better to rent or buy?
- Can the system be upgraded with additional components? (video)
- Is it also necessary to arrange other accesses related to individual reservations (parking lot, elevator, swimming pool, wellness, longe room,...)?
- Will it be possible to register a guest on e-Turizem from the system?
Which smart lock provider to choose?
After talking with several providers, I would advise you to first consider what you really need to facilitate your business and, on the other hand, increase guest satisfaction.
In any case, it is good to consider whether you will have to carry out major interventions in the building (door replacement, electrical installations).
If the choice is a more advanced solution (i.e. not mechanical or mechatronic), pay attention to the availability of customer support services. In any case, check the origin of the components and the warranty conditions (in this case, think in a way - I'm not so rich to buy cheap).
Based on what I have heard and seen, I would advise the company:
